Photon instruments measure both near and far-field irradiance distribution patterns of lasers, laser diodes, LEDs, VCSELs and optical fibres.
Products available include:
ModeScan Measures both CW and kHz pulsed lasers with the NanoScan head covering the entire wavelength range from UV to FIR.
  • A 200mm and 400mm lenses are available to generate the proper artificial waist for the laser source under test.
  • For ease of alignment, there is an entrance iris on the optical axis of the ModeScan for ease of alignment
  • A precision alignment stage for horizontal and vertical positioning
  • This instrument is specifically to make automated M-squared measurements
High Power NanoScan:- Newest high power BeamScan with highest dynamic range in scanning slit technology, providing sub-micron accuracy for beam size and position.
  • Equipped with a pyroelectric detector, copper slits, drum and a cooling fan
  • Can measure focused laser beams up to 5 kilowatt for CO2 lasers at 10.6μm, 1-2kW for ND:YAG lasers at 1064nm other shorter wavelength lasers to somewhat lower powers in the hundreds of watts.
  • Ideal for measuring lasers operating with pulse width modulation power control.

  • Has an all-new digital controller based on the PCI architecture which provides deep, 12-bit digitization of the signal for enhanced dynamic range up to 35dB optical (70dB electronic).
  • The software-controllable incremental scan speed (1.25-20Hz) increases the dynamic range, which allows for a much greater operating space for a single scan head.
